Sd Card Access Based Arm7 And ¦Ìclinux, Embedded Systems Research

With the development of computer, communication and micro-electronics technology, embedded system has become a very important part in the filed of computer. Embedded system is a special computer system that takes application as center and hardware cutable. It is suitable for the application system which is very strict in request of function, reliability, cost, volume and consumption.μCLinux has more advantages than any other embedded operatings system because it has open sources, can adapt to many CPUs and hardware platforms, and it has strong network functions.μCLinux has been widely used in low and middle embedded facilities. ARM7TDMI is a high-performance and low-power RISC core. S3C44BOX based on this core has integrated many peripheral equipments, so it is very suitable for processor in embedded product.The SD interface has high transmission speed, Plug and Play, has little bulk, so the equipments with SD interface play an important role in the computer peripheralsand digital storage.This paper chooses S3C44BOX as embedded processor andμCLinux as embedded operating system, the main task is to achive the CPU level porting ofμCLinux on S3C44BOX processor, and designed the SD driver program based on the platform. Firstly designed the SD card system hardware circuit. Then transplanted U-Boot andμCLinux system in experimental platform, and revised theμCLinux system in order to suit the hardware platform. Finally, designed the SD card dirver program based on theμCLinux system, realized the read and write of the SD card.The embedded system dscribed by this paper runs well and supplies a good software and hardware platform for the application. The work supplies a good solution for the development and research of embedded system.
