Embedded Internet Used In Remote Monitor System

Traditionally, the remote monitor system is the cooperation between MCU and Personal Computer. Controlling function is realized by MCU, and network function is realized by Personal Computers. The system has high cost and low reliability. It is no longer meeting the requirement of the society. The remote monitor system described in the paper is realized by embedded system and Internet, which is greatly reduced the cost, improved the reliability of system and enhanced the controlling function of the system.The method of designing and realizing the remote monitor system, which is based on embedded Internet, is described in the paper, and used in remote tempeture monitor system. The hardware platform of the system is composed by high performence embedded microprocessor, which is the core of the hardware, and other periphery chips, such as Ethernet controlling chip. By setting up embedded system developing environment, replanting boot loader and uClinux operation system, compiling the core of uClinux operation system, developing the divice drive programs and developing application programs, relizes all of the software of the system, and completed the functon of temperature collection. The data of temperature sended by E-mail is saved on the E-mail server. The system can monitor temperature, start or stop the motor, set parameters of data collection and so on, by manipulating the remote monitor software.In the paper, embedded Internet is used in remote temperature monitor system, realizing remote temperature collection. The system has the strongpoint of low cost, high reliability, high practicability and stability. In addition, by adopting the method of platform developing, the system can be easily replanted and expanded.
