Research And Implementation Of Online Billing System Based On The 3g Environment

With the rapid development of the communicating industry, the quickly increaseing of user demands and the springing up of new generation communicating technology, Billing system which have become one of the key competition power of communication enterprise plays more and more important role in Telecommunications. Now how will billing system follow the approach of 3G? This thesis will focus on such questions by theory study and job experience.In this paper, it first gives a detailed introduction to the features of charging and the type of business,as well as the condition of 3G charging at home and abroad,pointing out that integration and real-time charging on 3G is the trend of development.It analyszes main characters, development pattern of the new 3G business, and the impact of the system having affected.Pointing out the existing problems of Charging system and the the causes of these problems, proposing necessity of online Charging system.Secondly, it analyzes the distinction between offline and online charging, expatiating on the characteristics of the online charging, and studying of the real-ime online billing system proposing by 3GPP. Third, it mades a describtion to the main architectures of the system and features of the system based on the development of convergent online charging system, analyses the position and function of OCS in the system.It gives a detail functional module design and interface design for OCS,introducts the core of the convergent online charging system. Finally, it summarizes the work of the topics,as well as prospects the future of 3G Billing system.As the era of 3G arrives, Telecom providers pay more attention to researching of billing for 3G. The Integration of real-time billing is the main trend of 3G billing. It will gradually become the mainstream of 3G billing which based on usage, service and content value, service quality and billing services. How to building a online billing system adapting to the environment of 3G, there are still many problems need to be studied. Especially with the new business of 3G increasing, more detailed study for the changes of online billing system is needed.
