With the continuous development and wide application of computer technology, higher demand for software system are proposed concerning function, efficiency, flexibility and maintenance, and the scale of software system have been enlarged relevantly. When designing complex systems in traditional methods, it's often hard to analyze the inner relationships between different parts of the system, thus make it difficult to design by modeling. The Complexity of system does not appear barely in software systems. In other business such as industry manufacture, Design Structure Matrix is frequently used to analyze, design and improve complex system. If we introduce Design Structure Matrix into practical development of software systems, it should be able to handle the complex very well.Based on above theory, this thesis first introduces Design Structure Matrix to the design and analysis of software modular structure, uses it in the reconstruction of modular structure from traditional structure, based on which, the concept of modular structure is combined in batch processing system such as billing and file-based preprocessing of telecom. The application of Design Structure Matrix in Comprehensive Preprocessing System of Long-distance Telecom, shifts it from service-based structure to function-based modular structure, so that the low efficiency of processing, inflexibility of configuration, difficulties in statistics and audit, as well as reluctant programming for new service will be overcome. And then, this thesis emphasizes detailed realization of modular structure, such as Design Structure Matrix application, load-balancing schedule between modules, and overall system audit. Finally, two examples of modules are illustrated to analyze the design of module in this structure, so as to realize the function unification of different service rules by flexible configuration.
