With rapid development of computer technology,information technology and network technology get applied more and more widely. Some critical systems need high-stability and high-efficiency to accomplish key work and task. Thus the requirement for consistency of clocks in distributed system is extremely strict. Therefore,how to synchronize all clocks of distributed system precisely is a quite important' issue.The paper focus mainly on research of clock synchronization in distributed system,design and implement of clock,synchronization experiment system in distributed system. Firstly,the paper summarizes basic knowledge of distributed system and computer network. Secondly,the paper introduces basic knowledge of clock synchronization in distributed system,and then put more emphasis on Lamport's algorithm and other algorithms. Thirdly,the paper introduces a Internet standard protocol,Network Time Protocol. By discussing implement model,architecture and algorithms of the protocol,the paper analyzes the priciple of Network Time Protocol working. And the paper introduces the theory and application of getting time from GPS. Finally,the paper implements a clock synchronization experiment system in distributed system,which takes Client-Server Model,follows Network Time Protocol and gets standard time from GPS. Our experiments show that the system has the characters of flexibility and high efficiency,with a fine and creative feature. Furthermore,the paper tried a new idea of data filler module.
