Many solutions have been produced to solve the communication problem between the home electric equipments and PCs, since 1978, the first home-automation system was invented. With the development of technology and the stimulation of market, these solutions are continuously improved in both hardware and software, even communication protocol has been established. Under the circumstance, how to reduce the cost of the system is a question facing the designer. The mission of this master's project is to design a low-cost wireless data-transmit module used in intelligent home electric equipments. At the beginning this thesis introduces the means used for the communication between the home electric equipments and PCs. After introduce the relative theories, several points, which will be specially focused on in this design, are established. In consideration of all the condition, this thesis put forward the project using the specific 1C of wireless telephone to implement the module.Above the analyses, this thesis explains the hardware and software of the design in detail. In terms of hardware, it introduces the analog circuit and the digital circuit, especially introduces the Manchester coder-decoder designed with VHDL. In terms of software, it introduces the working flow of the master module and the slave module. In the end, this thesis even introduces some problems that encountered in debugging the hardware of the module and the solutions of them.
