The Software Defined Radio is a new kind of concept and system that is putted forward in recently years to realize the communication, and is applied to wireless communication .Its core lies that: the converter of the broad band A/D and D/A should be made close to the antenna as possible as it can. And the function of the communication will be defined by applying the software. In this way, the wireless communication system will have perfect universal and flexibility, which can let the system interconnection and upgrade become quite convenient. The application of the Software Defined Radio in the3G has become the focus of the research.Among the aims and the system characteristic, the most important problem is that the 3G system should offer the multimedia operation in different conditions. So it requires to realize the integration of the multi-network, and realizes that anyone can transmits any information whenever and any place .Then it can provide the uniform operation using mode in the wire or wireless conditions, besides ,it would be able to adapt to the manifold operation circumstances. In addition, it can be compatible with the 2G system, which is convenient for the slide-upgrade. To the communication UE, it faces the integrate system of the multi-network, so it needs to practice the multi-band and multi-mode terminals. The Software Defined Radio provides a late-model frame that can realize different functions by using the uniform hardware flat and varied software. By using the technology of the Software Defined Radio can we resolve the problems of the multi-band, multi-mode and multi-operation UE. This test researches the problems and presents the resolve.This test divides four chapters: the first chapter introduces the basic concept and development conditions of the Software Defined Radio; the second one discusses the key technique of the Software Defined Radio, its technique challenges and the resolve .the third one discusses the 3G RTT and the apply of the Software Defined Radio in the 3G RTT; the fourth one studies the application of the Software Defined Radio architecture that based on the DSP to realize the Base Band disposal module of the terminal in the 3G Then the test presents a kind of GSM/TD-SCDMA terminal architecture and analyses the circuit of the front part, then it also analyses the resource need. Moreover, it also presents the hardware architecture of the TD-SCDMA base band module and the flow of the software arithmetic. It also analyses the realization of the module key arithmetic, finally it brings forward some points that should be paid much attention in realizing the module.
