Interoperability Of Heterogeneous Engineering Database

Engine CAD System is large and complicated.It includes 20 subsystems those are independent and reciprocal each other.In process of engine CAD system design,global CAD system and every subsystem CAD are designed in different workstations in distributed network environment.Interoperation between heterogeneous engineering databases is soveld by means of JDBC.The key technology of interoperation database is masking the heterogenieity of heterogeneous databases and their environments.Architecture of engine heterogeneous database interoperated system based on JDBC is adoptcd.Users could transparently access heterogeneous databases and query,add,delete and modify data of connected databases through visiual interface.The system could run on different platforms such as Windows series,OS/2 .It has quality of portability and extensibility.
