Component technique is one trend of software development in the 21 century. Thinking in component is applied to software fields widely. One of the research directions is to combine component technique with network protocols especially protocols on communication device. This paper analyses defect of traditional network protocol stack, according to characteristic of communication applications on embedded system, constructs Networks Sub-Protocol Component Frame (NSPCF). Through NSPCF, this paper demonstrates implementation of component-based network protocol stack.NSPCF system is built on component-based communication system model. NSPCF consists of protocol disassembling, assembling, protocol component development, component standard interface and so on. This paper puts emphasis on component-based network protocol and operating system supporting for protocol component.Research on component-based network protocol includes protocol disassembling and assembling. Different protocols need different disassembling and assembling methods. This paper discusses several kinds of strategies and generalizes on component-based communication system model. About protocol assembling, this paper constructs a quantization-oriented assembling model of communication service. And taking several typical protocols for example, this paper describes process of dividing protocols into components.Operating system and component development also conform to definite component interface standard. By component interface standard, protocol components can run cross platform, be managed by component library and development platform. It'acts as a middle layer in the whole architecture.In order to support protocol component, operating system should implement parts of component interface by interface standard. And it also manages local protocol component on communication device. This paper uses several platforms include software emulator, development board to test the performance of system. It also does some modification to improve system performance.Component library and development platform are also important parts of NSPCF. But this paper only describes them in brief.
