1. Introduce the research background of this paper, i.e. the development of technique of terminal. Based on the need of R&D of terminal, the emphasis and direction of the research are pointed out.2. The concepts of Embedded System (ES) are also introduced. What is ES and how to do ES are given in details. The hardware used is given in details.3. The real-time kernel of μC/OS-Ⅱ, which is a kind of real time operating system, is introduced. First the concepts of RTOS are introduced, then through analysis of source codes of uC/OS-II, the kernel is known well, and the research plan is given based on ARM processor.4. The research of Embedded System Building Blocks is introduced and several Embedded System Building Blocks design based on μC/OS-Ⅱ are disscussed in details.5. The file systems are discussed. First the principle of file system is discussed. Then introduce several file systems, mainly about based-on Flash.6. Finally the whole work is summed, the disadvantages and the further problem are pointed out. And the further research emphasis is GUI and file systems.
