The Development Of Integrated Digital Communications Experiments System

Today, in the college digital communication experiment teaching, experiment items are single and short of flexible, so it can't follow the development needs of modern communication technology. In order to keep up with the progresses of electrocommunication technology, develops an integrated digital communication experiment system for college communication courses and digital communication technology searching. The system bases on FPGA technology, uses MAX+plus â…¡ software as platform, VHDL language as tool, realizes the design of digital communication technology.Hereinafter, list the mostly contents in this paper:(1) Introducing the hardware design of the digital communication system, this system bases on digital communication system model. Circuit board is divided into two parts: send experiment part and receive experiment part, channels between this two part include analogy channel, digital channel and fibre channel. The two part both use FPGA chip as the core, equip the other assistant apparatus.(2) Cooperating communication principle teaching material, design a lot of digital communication unit experiments, experiment contents come down to every chapter of communication principle. Combining with VHDL language character, do our best to adopt the simplest methods to realize it. Except being tested as a special experiment, Experiment module can also constitute more systems such as: ASK digital communication system, FSK digital communication system, TDM communication system and so on.(3) Designing many others digital communication module such as DDS module, GOLD code generator and so on. It will lay a foundation for developing more system experiments and upgrading the system aftertime.All experiment items have been validated, results indicated that all the modules have achieved the design needs. This system really realized more experiment items, more content changes and can add new technology test project at any moment. This system realized synthesis, design and innovate education. This experiment system is a teaching innovation item of Dalian University of Technology, it has passed the universities' identity at September, 2003.
