For Softswitch Mgcp Soft Phone Design And Implementation

SoftSwitch is the core technique of the NGN(Next Generation Network), I introduce MGCP protocol in this article, which is a control level protocol in the SoftSwitch system. MGCP was developed within the IETF MEGACO working group. By using MGCP, Media gateways contain endpoints on which the Call Agent can create,modify and delete connections in order to establish and control media sessions with other multimedia endpoints.After studying MGCP and the SoftSwitch architecture, I implement a SoftPhone by reusing the code of MGCP stack on the SoftSwitch side and the code of media and user interface in a H.323 SoftTerminal.
