Henan Mobile Positioning System Networking Solutions And Vehicle Positioning System-based Real-time Monitoring System

Nowadays, competition between carriers has become tougher and tougher along with the telecommunication technology development and the trends of marketization.In mobile communication area, all of the big players are trying their best to unfold new mobile data services, increase their rate of penetration and finally improve ARPU. According to investigation, LBS, as a new mobile data service coming out of the window, shows its big market potential and capability of generating enormous room for revenue. On 2001,IDC group made an investigation about LBS: by 2006,more than 0.7 billion subscribers globally will use that service, could bring 2.5 billion US dollars income a year for carriers. Well then, so many telecom operator have now been focus on this Neozoic technology. Up till 2002, LBS has been trailed on so many carriers' network abroad , some even made it commercial , such as SmartTone( HK), Orange, NTT DOCOMO, Sprint PCS, CMCC FuJian etc. CMCC HeNan also start its own LBS project at the end of 2002 according to its corresponding study and the acknowledgement of the market needs accordingly. This piece of work try to address the appropriate network deployment plan of location based service for CMCC HeNan, technically and commercially demonstrate the possibility and feasibility of this service by analyzing the local market and the technology trends, especially the guidance from CMCC HQ. Also, raise a suggestion of building a vehicle surveillance system based upon it. This paper is consisted by 6 chapters totally, Chapter 1 is the introduction of the background information of LBS, and discuss the importance and imperativeness of this service; Chapter 2 analyze the market in Henan province; Chapter 3 analyze and compare some LBS services; Chapter 4 set down the technical and deployment plan of LBS according to CMCC Henan's local network and the LBS technology; Chapter 5 solution for personal and corporate usage ,an example of vehicle surveillance system developed by Henan Sincer Company is also introduced; Chpater 6 summarize the whole paper , emphasize the needs and feasibility of building LBS and future estimation.
