Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET) is a mobile,multi-hop and self-organized wireless network。As complement and extension of network base equipment,MANET not only can run independently, but also can connect with other network,The nodes of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks operate as end hosts as well as routers, they intercommunicate through sigle-hop and multi-hop paths in a peer-to-peer fashion。The widespread use of mobile and handheld devices and the advance need of service have generated the need to provide quality-of-service(QoS)support in wireless mobile Ad Hoc networking environments。 Users not only need best-effort service but also hope network can support QoS。MANET QoS model has to deal with the dynamic topology, unidirectional link, limited wireless bandwidth and capability-constrained of mobile nodes, etc。QoS model of Internet can not directly apply in MANET for MANET's speciality and QoS model of MANET become an emerging promising area of research。There are three QoS model/signaling of MANET:FQMM,SWAN,INSIGNIA。We introduce SWAN after compare these modle/signaling,but SWAN does not describe modules in detail, such as,queue scheduling algorithms etc。SWAN must incorporate these modules to support QoS for MANET。In this paper, firstly we briefly introduce the basic characteristic of MANET,QoS model of IP network,QoS model of MANET and the basic concept of packet scheduling algorithms。Through compare and analysis,we introduce the architecture of SWAN and the algorithms of every module and technology minutia of SWAN in chapter two。Then,we discuss a method of building a simulation model and work flow。Using this simulation model, the whole set of models are tested and validated。These results are helpful to practical network design, management and optimization。...
