| This dissertation is about the project of Self-Organized Wireless Mobile Networking Technology and Experimental System Development, a project of the National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China. Traditional network can not communicate when it is moving, for equipments of network have been limited by line of network. As more and more portable computers coming forth, wildly been using and demand from national defence, people put forward new desire for network communication. The Wireless Mobile Self-organized Network (WMSN) demonstrates a new kind of network architecture that combines with the self-organization of Ad hoc networks and the user management of cellular networks. Thus, it can be easily deployed without the use of any existing network infrastructure and make mobile users more convenient to access it. The essential concepts of WMSN are introduced in the beginning of this dissertation. An overall description of the architecture of the self-organized wireless mobile network, designed and developed by our research group, is also elaborated as well as a penetrating analysis of the technical support to network configuration and management by the Linux operation system. In addition, some basic issues of the wireless router in this system, such as hardware/software modules, user configuration and management module, are analyzed before certain considerations and several perspective methods are discussed and a system-level design scheme is well developed finally. It is the main part of this dissertation that the implementations of the three user configuration and management methods, Web-based, Telnet-based, and Console-based, are respectively illustrated according to the design scheme mentioned above. Finally, a brief summarization of my contribution to the whole work is given as well as the perspective amendments for future development. |
