This paper mainly discusses the key techniques in MANETs based on 3G. The interface drivers of MANETs terminal are studied, designed and implemented. We first introduce the concept and structure of Ad Hoc network as well as its function and features. To solve the data transfer between network layer in PC and MAC layer in DSP, USB Network Interface Card (USB NIC) drivers are developed, the communication between PC and wireless transceiver is realized. We analyze the interface performance and test the interface speed, and the transfer efficiency of NIC is improved through the adjustment of corresponding driver parameters. We develop drivers based on IEEE 802.11b, and design a multi hop test bed of Ad Hoc network which shows a good performance. Then Intermediate drivers based on Ad Hoc terminal hardware platform is developed, and the joint debug with router module, USB NIC drivers and MAC module is accomplished.For the use of Ad Hoc network with limited channel bandwidth and think of the periodicity and continuity features of IP timing VOIP packets, An IP/UDP header compression algorithm suited for Ad Hoc is proposed. Performance evaluation shows that the algorithm can increase the using efficiency of channel bandwidth, and satisfies the system demand.
