The project mainly focuses on the research and development of the Single Soldier Electronic Reconnaissance System, which bases on the Samsung ARM microprocessor S3C44B0X and the uCLinux embedded operating system. The project accomplishes the establishment of the platform, and realizes the functions of GPS orientation, wireless data transmission, velocity measuring, ethernet communication, codec data processing, USB-host, image data acquisition and transmission.In detail, the project utilizes the S3C44B0X as the core of the hardware system, peripherally adds FLASH, SDRAM, LDO, Ethernet chip, codec chip, USB-host chip, and GPS module, RF module, which altogether compose the base of hardware. In the software design, the project first transplants the U-BOOT as the boot loader, then transplants the uCLinux as the embedded operating system. After that, linux driver and application programs are introduced.Besides, the project realizes the function of Doppler radar velocity measuring on an ADuC812 board developed earlier. Moreover, we realizes the image data acquisition and transmission in another IP-Camera project which has almost the same software and hardware structure compared with the Single Soldier System. The contents above altogether meet the acquirements of the Single Soldier Electronic Reconnaissance System.This paper will discuss these contents in chapter.
