CAN/USB protocol transition is introduced in this paper ,which based onMitsubishi M16C/6N serials microcomputer and integrate CAN bus and USB bus .Itoffers one applied example and can resolve problems about incorresponding ofcommunication velocity and data formate when PC communicate with locate equipmentin the distance. Through analyzing characteristics of CAN protocol and USB protocol,some kernel technologies are systemic narrated ,including hardware design andsoftware design of protocol transition:protocol transition hardware circuit andserval interface circuits are designed according to characteristics of Mitsubishimicrocomputer named M306NBFCTFPUSB and USB controller named USB 9604;firmwaremodule and CAN communication module are designed by using assemble language, whichcommunicate with PC;DLL and CAN API are compiled by using C language and VB programmelanguage. Integrating these technologies can resolve problems aboutincorresponding of communication velocity and data formate in the distance .At thesame time right outcome is taken through testing. Experimentation indicates thatprotocol transition work stable when hardware and software of protocol transitionintegrate together.
