Research And Design Of SIP Soft Phone Protocol Based On HIP

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) proposed by IETF application-layer control protocol that can establish, modify, and terminate multimedia sessions (conferences), especially in Voice over IP. SIP can implement simple, open, low-cost voice transportation. So, it is one of the core protocols of NGN.In the research of network field, both the mobility of network terminal and the security of information transportation are the most significant issues. HIP (Host Identity Protocol) proposed recent years, is an attempt to change network layer architecture for resolving mobility and security issues.SIP can provide mobility support in application-layer, HIP provide mobility support in a new HIP-layer between network-layer and application-layer. Also build and manage secure connection among SIP terminations.In this paper, a new scheme based on Host Identity Protocol (HIP) and SIP is proposed, which can implement Internet telephony calls. And design the specific protocol flow of HIP-based SIP soft phone .It can implement SIP soft phone communication between hosts which is supporting HIP. The proposed architecture ensures security of end-to-end and provides mobility support in the network-layer. Also, in this paper, author designed and implemented SIP user module, HIP module, user interface.
