Portable Network Videophone Software Design

Along with the development of NGN, 3G technologies and the prevalence ofbroadband service, the video communication operation will be used more and morein all the fields, and become one of the main service in the Information Society. Inthis background, a software design solution for portable IP Video Phone Terminalbased on SIP Protocol is detailed discussed in this thesis.Chapter 1 describes the development status and the trend of IP Video Phone,presents the significance of this project, gives the main content of this thesis.Chapter 2 introduces SIP, SDP protocol and the platform of software design, detaileddiscusses the architecture, the mechanism and the message composing of SIPprotocol.Chapter 3 gives the total design frame of the software on the demanding analysis ofportable IP Video Phone.Chapter 4 detailed discusses software design of SIP and RTP communicationprotocol module, including function frame of the SIP stack, the state machine,message and call procedure of each sub module, and the method of splitting andcomposing frames. And what's more, software implementation of inter-processcommunication module between the SIP and GUI program.Chapter 5 detailed discusses the software design of audio and video controllingmodule, including the mechanism of the audio Jitter Buffer, and the signalcapture ,coding and playback of audio and video.Chapter 6 gives the procedure of system test, including the software structure test,the system's function and performance test, the system's reliability test and protocolcompatibles test.Chapter 7 gives the main research conclusion and the prospect of further researchwork.
