Now, electric power industry of China grows rapidly, but thermal power is the mostly important in electric power. Water plays an important role of transferring the energy and cooling medium in the process of generating electricity, water treatment is very important. The problem of how to supervise and automatic control the water treatment process effectively and thus enhance its economic and social benefit has become important and urgent subject to resolve for our plants.The paper introduces the design of the Supervisory & Control of water treatment.Firstly, the paper analysis actuality of water treatment system both here and abroad, and the paper analysis trend of development of industry Ethernet, and design the Supervisory & Control of water treatment system in accordance with actual demand. The system is composed of Distributed Control System and Supervisory & Control System. The system is developed with XDPS software of Xinhua, thereby, it can performances watching picture, watching trend, watching alarm, making program, making report. The successful design of the system has a wider application foreground for lightening intensity of work, increasing labor productivity, producing the water of good quality.Secondly, the paper discusses the communication problem by making use of interface and GAP, the system achieves purpose of Realtime Data Sharing through experimentation, therefore, it performances function of Realtime Information Supervision, Operation Performance Calculation, Operation Performance Loss Analysis, improves manage level and safety Supervision ability.
