Invisible Digital Image Detection Technologies

Image steganalysis is an art of detecting hiding information in digital image.Recently,steganalysis has been paid a great deal of attention both from the academic research and law enforcement. On one hand.steganalysis can improve security of steganographic algorithm.On the other hand,it can be used to reveal the illegal communication with some steganographic tools.In this thesis,a survey on the related research and recent development was given first. On this basis, three steganalytic algorithms were proposed respectively to different steganographic algorithms and cover images.We have analyzed and researched LSB steganography in image's spatial domain and proposed a steganalytic algorithm based on image's color characteristics. The experiment proves that this algorithm being of good examination result to the color BMP images. For JPEG image,a steganalytic method based on JPEG image's structure characteristics is proposed. Theoretically, we analyzed the methods correctness; experimentally, validate the effect. A survey on universal steganalysis techniques was given and we proposed a steganalytic method on image's energy. This algorithm is not limited to concrete steganographic algorithm, therefore has the certain versatility.
