Now "the last kilometre" is the bottleneck of traditional cable access for a new communication provider because of the lack of basic communication resource. Wireless broadband access becomes a more attractive means to solve the problem.We used WLAN technique based on IEEE802. 11g protocol in this test network. The encode of IEEE802. llg is orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM),which can provide 54Mbps access speed.On the basis of the theory of wireless broadband access and available resource, we put forward the design index ; traffic capacity ; computation model of wireless covering and the programming and so on. It is stressed the construction plan of two urban areas such as WangFu garden and YuYingyuan. We detailed the layout of AP (access point);frequency programming and the combination with the CNC MAN (metropolitan area network) and so on. It alidated the possibility of organic combination between the WLAN based on IEEE802.11g and the CNC MAN(metropolitan area network) through system test, analysis of the test results and network adjustment.The success of this test network indicates that wireless broadband access technique based on IEEE802. 11g can effectively solve the bottleneck of traditional cable access. It is possible to turn the wireless broadband access technique into wide market popularization and application.
