| With the continuous expansion of research and practice in web-based education, the web-based course as the core resource of web-based education has been concerned increasingly. It is actively explored the theoretical foundation ,value orientation and technical measure to support the design of web-based course.Based on constructivism, situated cognition and learning theory, this dissertation brings up the idea of the learning–oriented web-based course,my purpose is to layout and organize the designed elements of the web-based course from the perspective of learning projest,learning task,learning enviroment and learning evaluation,then to realize the inquiry-based design idea of web-based course.The core issue to be resolved is"what to learn and how to learn".The learning-oriented web-based course, which is set up in the dissertation, is based on the following the logic threshold: learning is one kind of procedures from low level to high level, from simple to complex; learning is the pocess of solving problems in the real situation and the process of the need for effective support and faciliation; Not only is learning an individual act, but also a social behaviour. So the dissertation has probed into the design and practice of the learning–oriented web-based course by the method of the periodical literature, action research and case study etc. Main research includes:1. Research on the content and theoretical foundation of the learning–oriented web-based course. the study is based on the analysis of the web-based course concept and indicates that the learning–oriented web-based course is the course system,which is based on the supporting system of web-based learning to complete a series of learning task , to realize knowledge construction, and then to reach course objectives . Constructivism and situated cognition theory are the theoretical foundation of the learning-oriented web-based course. The primarily features includes task-driven, activity-guided, knowledge-embeded, resources-assured, environment-nourished, autonomous exploration, collaboration and sharing. Then from the aspect of course design the dissertation mainly expatiates the following traits of the learning-oriented web-based course'design: course objectives are plurality, course content is from real life situation, course implementation concerns the learning process, course evaluation uses objective-oriented evaluation.2.Explore the model of instructional design in the learning–oriented web-based course: the model of instructional design in the learning–oriented web-based course is composed of the following elements: analyzing learners'characteristics, determining learning-goals, analyzing learning-content to build learning situation, organizing procedures of learning activity, designing learning enviroment and learning evaluation.
