China Media To Monitor The Status Of State Power And The Development Approach

In no more than two hundred years, news media almost has produced great influence on each aspect of the society. Nowadays people often use"magic power","the fourth kind of power"to describe the unprecedented political influence. With the propulsion of the democracy modernization progress, it is a necessary means for news media to supervise the state power. In the 20th century, with the technical development, news media supervising the state power broke material restriction; but the political reform of our country, especially, the political party separating from the government, let news media supervising the state power have a good political condition. On this condition, news media formed a set of complete process. News media finds the social problems gradually, with truthfulness, timelines, wide-ranging and publicity, it forms pressure to the state power. It attains this purpose at the end of news media supervising the state power. Our history and reality constantly express that the reasonable operation of the state power not only depends on supervision itself, but also makes use of the supervision of news media. The paper focuses on these questions of news media supervising the state power, analyzing comprehensively and thoroughly, in order to come up with some developing routes to cope with these questions.In preface, this paper explains the correlative conceptions and simply introduces the effect that the development of the news media has on the state power, which paves the basic way for research. There are 4 parts altogether in the paper. The first part mainly discusses the importance of the news media supervising the state power from history, reality and globalization. The second part analyzes the achievements and problems that news media supervises the state power. The third part analyzes the cause of these theories and practices. According to these questions, the fourth part explores the developing routes. These constructive proposals are put forward as to the adjustment of the relationships between news media and the state power. In conclusion, because of its independent political position and history tradition, there doesn't exist collusion relation between news media and the government, nor can we view them as opposition. They are a kind of symbiosis relation, collaboration and supervision under particular and social systems.
