News Media Supervision In The New Era

wth establishing the market-oriented eanomy and promoting the polical reform,in an all-round way,to superise over the press circles arosed high enthusiasm in the grup .The chinese communist party hopes to improve tts word and protect the public抯 interests through the supevision over the media. The auther of this thesis aims at giving an overall and deep account on the present supervision by public opinion,and developing the thesis under the analyzing the guidance of supervision and the legal system with the Msxism and the theory of the news. The thesis will be devided into four psrts; Chapter one introduces the funetions of the supervsion by public opinion which will be developed in six points:(l)the supervion by public opinion is the chinese communist party抯glory tradition;(2)the supervision by public opinion is the essential means in thd construstion of democracy and Iegality;(3)the supervision by public opinion is the vital port of conducting active propaganda;(4) the supervision by public opinion serves the party -?-u. 7 and the people抯 interests;(5)the supervision by public opinion is the function of news propaganda; and (6)the supervision by public opinion is the effectice weapon against corruption. Chapter Two states the four principles in carrying out the supervision by public opinion ;(l)the principle of putting the interest of the whele above cverything else;(2)the priciple of insisting the dialectical materialism;(3)the priciple of taking it as the main purpose to settle down the problems;smd (4)the priciple of applying the constructive proposals. Chapter three explains the ways of the supervision by public opinion on the basis of analyzing five specific cases.Lt emphasizes tlat the supervision by public opinion should rely on both the support trom the party and the gorernment and the coperation with the media. Chapter five gives an account on the good environneat needed by the supervision by public opinion.It covers three parts(l)journalists should form a sound attitude toward the supervision by public opinion and:find oan effective way to apply ir the practice;(2)To strengthen the supervision by public opinion will find a sound social and legal 4 civcumstances;and (3)It analyzes the news lawsuits which have emerged in an endless stream. The specific characteristics for this thesis is to assess the definition of the supervision by public opinion and to emphasize the connectioin between the supervision and the news lawmaking.
