Since the establishment of DECT and WDCT protocol, the 2.4G Digital Cordless technology has gone matured thorough years of sustainable development, from baseband chip, RF chip, RTOS to MMI, and resulted in a whole industrial chain.With respect to Anolog Cordless phone, 2.4G Dgital Cordless possesses the following advantages, excellent talk quality, secure and anti-interference, larger communication scope, lower power consumption and longer navigation, extended inter-call, lower radiation for health and environment. In western developed countries, Digital Cordless has occupied more than 45% of the market share, and domestically, the market potential is also huge with the gradual mature of technology and cost reduction.At present, the Winbond corporation has provided the fifth and sixth cordless chip solutions, among which W935XX series (the fifth generation) could realize the common 2.4G digital cordless, while the sixth generation conforms to the development tendency of NGN and realizes VoIP on digital cordless.This essay constructed the embedded software system based on Winbond W93515 and W93527 chip, and it mainly elaborated RTOS and MMI.Chapter 1 gave a brief introduction to the history and subject study of cordless phone.Chapter 2 took DECT protocol structure as an example to illustrate the 2.4G protocol structure, including protocol characteristics, air interface and the specific protocol specification.Chapter 3 compared the operating principles of two kinds of embedded operation systems, the front and back system and real-time multitasking operating system. The former one is illustrated by the soft decoding wired fixed telephone based on EM78803 8bit chip platform, while the latter one is elaborated by the PHS cordless commercial telephone based on ML7098 32bit ARM7 chip platform, herein the operating principles ofμC/OS-Ⅱwas explained in detail. Chapter 4 disserted on the construction of 2.4G Digital Cordless OS based on Winbond W93515 and W93527. It first gave system hardware structure, then divided the software structure according to the system function based on the stratification principle of OSI model, and lastly it constructed the event-driven RTOS from the realization of multitask establishment, preempted scheduling, inter-task communication and timer management.Chapter 5 introduced the construction of MMI, with the establish of finite state machine to actualize the fundamental functions of digital cordless.This software system has gone through the testing and verification of large amount of products,so it can be popularized as the commercial product.
