In the coming epoch of 3G,the competition between the national telecom is becoming more and more severity.To make a decision as soon as possible is the key point of survival and development for a corporation.The fall of profit made many corporation have to change their style of management:from extensive mangement to intensive management.Management-decision need fast and mensurable analysis as much as possible but not the speciosity analysis.Accompanied with the broad application of ERP,CRM,OA..information system and the Internet's flourish development,the data quantity of a corporation is increase drastically.People hope to get higher level's capability of data analysis and the tradition database can not meet the needs.And now,most of the company do not lack data,but agony for the high quantity and conflicting of data.By all of this above,it give birth to the Data Warehouse and Data Mart.The aim of build data warehouse is to help the company to explore the relationship between the high quantity datas and aggregate the available exterior data and interior of the company.Data warehouse is to rebuild the structure of these data and make the company's datasource implement more merit.As the Enterprise's application,the costs and the involved range is enormous.It's a high cost and slow schedule project of build a data warehouse,and it's unexpectable and unacceptable for department and group.So,it's give birth to the data mart.Data mart is a data warehouse which is used to satisfy the special customer's needs and application needs and its size maybe hundreds GBs.The characteristic of data mart incluede:small size,face to specifically application,face to department or group,faster implement,little cost,easy to use,support all kinds of machines.Customers can build data mart according to their own needs.The author participated in the development of BASS in a province mobile communication corporation at the period of practicing. And the author made a profundity comprehension on the releated theories of the system and the way to use them at the real work. Firstly, this thesis introduces the backgound of the research topic, the current situation and the organization of the whole content. Secondly, illustrates the related theories and technologies applied in the development of the system, such as data warehouse, OLAP, ETL, modeling methodology. Thirdly, the thesis analyzes the collectivity framework of the data mart. On the premise of understanding the collectivity framework of data mart, fourthly makes an example of how to design and carry out the datamart subsystem which was successfully designed and implemented using the related knowledge of data warehouse and adopting the methods of software engineering develoment which contains requirement analysis, summary plan, particular plan and testing. The thesis shows the particular details of the whole processing. At last, the thesis summarizes the whole content and makes an expectation on the development of the system in the future.
