Textual Bibliography has a long history. It came into being with "one book has two or more editions" and developed with books. There are four steps: step one, from the pre-Qin period to the Han Dynasty. Step two, from Wei Jin Dynasties to Song and Yuan Dynasties. Step three, from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. From Minguo period to today is the last step. Benefiting from the achievement of Textual Bibliography in Qing Dynasty, Textual Bibliography in Minguo period achieved a lot in both theory and practice fields. Textual Bibliography of Minguo period is an important transitional stage in the textology history.This thesis has five parts in all, divided into five chapters:Part 1 introduces the meaning of this topic, the current study of the Textual Bibliography in Minguo period, the methods of my study, and the innovation of my paper.Part 2 analyzes the background of the Textual Bibliography's development. The society, politics, economy and culture of the Minguo period, the achievement of Textual Bibliography in Qing Dynasty, and the advanced printing are included.Part 3 introduces three books published in Minguo period on Textual Bibliography. Regarding Shulin Qinghua as an example, analyzes its achievements and drawbacks from the view of history, and approves that it played an important and irreplaceable role in the textology history.Part 4 mainly discusses the publication of ancient books, edition catalogue of ancient books, and the photocopy of good edition, which three are the practice achievement. The paper takes the Four Basic Branches of Literature and the Bainaben edition of the Twenty-Four Histories as the research objects, and analyzes the edition achievements and drawbacks they have made.Part 5 summarizes the historical status of the Textual Bibliography in Minguo period, including both theory and practice fields.
