It is the concept of Information Appliance. In theapplication and development field of Information Appliance, EmbeddedOperating System will be the most favorite thing in Software Development field.At the same time, in the field of computer science itself, the miniaturizationand specialization is the new direction of the computer world. It also wantsthe support of Embedded System.On the other hand, steady and reliable remote meter for readingelectricity is the required urgently for solving problems of electric powerdepartment and electric power operation business. At present, remote meterreading of electricity is mainly realized by manpower or power line carrieror special communicating net. These schemes cannot satisfy modern managingrequirement for various reasons.Under this background, I take charge of designing and developing the dataconcentrator of second-generation Remote Meter Reading System during theprocedure of my thesis work. Using 32-bit MCU AT919200 as the core, the dataconcentrator is based of Embedded Linux Operating System, and has outstandingdata management and network communication ability.My thesis work includesthe general project design, hardware design, transplant of Operating Systemand application software design. |
