The Wireless Mobile Ad Hoc Network (WMANET) is a special wireless mobile communication network. It is so due to that all mobile terminals in the network are equal and self-organized, there is no need to pre-deploy any infrastructure or centralized administration, the topology is dynamically changing, the bandwidth and energy are also limited, etc. Thus, the research on the WMANET, in particular, the research on its MAC and routing protocols has been immensely challenging. It is hard, however, to deploy a real network in the phase of researching. Generally, network simulation is one basic means to spread the research on the network technologies.Based on the study and research on basic knowledge and routing technology in Ad Hoc Networks, embedded research on several typical routing protocol such as AODV, DSR, DSDV and TORA has been done in this paper. And mainly discusses the routing protocol simulation implementaion in Ad Hoc networks based on NS2, and on the basis of this model for different networks, diferent scenes and diferent mobile transmission load on the routing protocol introduced above. The paper select delay, PDR(Package Delivery Ratio), route spending, system time as parameter on NS2, provides the simulate results of protocols mentioned above and makes a particular analysis, it has much practical guidance meaning on project application and network deploying. At last, concerning energy limited in Ad Hoc network, energy protecting routing protocol has been studied in this paper. We defined the delay formula and present the energy efficient routing protocol (EERP). We simulate this protocol in NS2, it shows EERP has longer system time than AODV. Based on this, we validate the design and this offers referrence to study Ad Hoc network.
