| Radar signal processing plays an important role in radar system. Traditionally use theway of DSP+FPGA to realize radar signal processing system. But now, as the progress ofLarge Scale Integration (LSI) technique and the improvement of manufacture technique,logic gates in one chip tremendously increased. The function and processing capability isstronger. So accomplish system level integration by one chip can be possible. Typicallybecause of the development of SOPC technology, make system not only has fast logic asFPGA, but also is much more flexible. This paper present the radar signal processingsystem using Niosâ…¡processor, combing signal and peripheral control together and makeSOPC come true.This paper first introduces the embedded system and the development of SOPCtechnology, and do some research about the structure and characteristics of Niosâ…¡processor. Then two CPU cores (Core 1 and Core 2) are added to Niosâ…¡processor for thetwo parts of radar signal processing-signal processing and system control. Some primarysignal processing modules are completed in Core 1, includes Digital Down Converter(DDC), pulse compress, Moving Target Detect (MTD) and Constant False Alarm Rate(CFAR). System and peripherals control modules, which include keyboard and displaymodule, asynchronous serial interface (UART) and USB communicate are realized inanother CPU. This paper arguments schemes for different signal processing modules andcontrol modules, propound kinds of optimization schemes, and last give all simulation andtest results.The application of radar signal processing system of Niosâ…¡is a brand new measure ofradar signal processing system.
