Television broadcasting technologies have changed greatly from the black and white television and color television to the current DTV (digital television). With the quick development of digital, computer and network technologies, the popularization of DTV will consequentially become the developing trend of the television industry. At present, the upsurge of studying DTV mode, establishing DTV standards, developing DTV equipment and industrializing DTV is being raised all over the world.In August, 2006, our country established "China Terrestrial Digital Television Broadcasting Standard" ("Framing Structure, Channel Coding and Modulation for Digital Television Terrestrial Broadcasting System" GB20600-2006) with our independent intellectual property right and implemented it on August 1st, 2007. Presently the tests have been done in many provincial capital cities. The definition of the terrestrial digital television broadcasting standard indicates that the television broadcasting digitalization in China has come into the new phase of national promotion from cut-in of the cable television.This thesis first makes a detailed introduction to the study and the standards of DTV domestically and abroad and makes the related comparison and analysis, then makes a summary of the advantage and disadvantage for each standard. Based on the present domestic technologies and industrial status, the writer made a study on the software system of terrestrial digital television broadcasting terminal, mainly including the following points:(1) based on the hierarchical structure, and the modularized programming method, the structuring of the software system for the terrestrial digital television terminal makes each code have clear working division and makes the development, the testing, the operating maintenance and the future updating of the software convenient.(2) The graphics design depending on the powerful OSG function and the particular OSD lamella structure of Hi2016 master chip makes the end users' interface good-looking and easily operated.(3) combining the hardware design to structure the drive layer, focusing on the driver design of the de-modularization chip, the tuner and wireless audio link IC and guaranteeing the stable running of the upper layer software.In the process of the study, for the demand of the market to the national standards and the low cost, in the information source decoding part, "HiPatriot II" Hi2016 decoding chip was used, which was developed by Haier (Beijing) IC Design Company and in channel de-modularization, LGS-8G42 de-modularization chip was used, which was developed by Legend Silicon Beijing. The designed software system in this thesis has passed the testing in the hardware system above and better achieved the expected function and effect. This plan has a very strong applicability and high price to performance ratio. Believe this will well promote the quick development of DTV industry in China.
