Based On The Symbian Platform For Wireless Mobile Location Service System Research And Design

Currently, the fast developing of mobile networking technology and huge increasing of total number of mobile networking end users make mobile value added industry and mobile networked internet which are based on mobile networking become a more and more powerful and valuable new market. From the habits of mobile end users, statistics said that more than 80% of what end users care is related to his current geographical location. Location service system is an integrated system which integrates computer hardware, software, spatial data and valid management, and it can provide functionality of data collection, storing, update, operation, analysis and spatial information display.It is most important to solve valid transition of spatial data to mobile device and performance optimization of mobile device when constructing mobile location service system. Also, there are multiple kinds of mobile devices in the market which need service provided to them have the feature of some kind of cross platform, what's more, there is contradiction between the big data volume of spatial information and narrow baseband width of wireless network, limited calculation ability, limited storage volume and expensive rate of wireless network, so it is urgent to solve those contradiction when constructing mobile service system.This master dissertation mainly has the following contents focused to solve the above mentioned problems:(1) Analyze theory of mobile location service system and its stauts at home and aboard and also analyze the theory of GPS, GPRS, Web Service technology and their applications.(2) Describe the structure of this system, and give explanations about different modules of it.(3) Analyze the design requirements of server-side system, and discuss its design structure, then give detailed description about its implementation.(4) Analyze the design requirements of client-side system, and discuss its design structure, then give detailed description about its implementation.(4) Study on positioning technology and how to implement it, and design a suitable method to use in this system.(6) In order to enforce the expansibility of system, this dissertation also study on how to use software component design methodology to design application on resource limited mobile system.Based on the result of analyze and design of this thesis, this thesis implemented Bell-labs China Mobile Location Based System, and the research based on this system is still under going there.
