Great progress in modern communication technology and electronic warfare makes it an urgent and important issue to design broadband and high-gain antenna in fuze. It's easy to make antenna smaller for working in high frequency, but rather hard to realize broadband. This paper designs a kind of millimeter-wave band columnar conformal microstrip array for a fuze project, and finish the research of improve bandwidth.First this paper introduces MOM's basical principles. Followed this text programs MOM in matlab, and uses the program in the design of microstrip antenna. Based the basical theories of microstrip antenna, this paper designs a cylindrical microstrip patch cell, and then designs a series-feed microstrip array, which realizes the excursion of antenna's directivity and greatly improves its bandwidth. Finally the array as the element of the series-feed arrays on the column realizes equal radiation on the fuze equator plane. With the bandwidth reaching 25%, the research of improving bandwidth is finished.The design and analysis in this paper supplies significant reference materials for the design of similar conformal array antenna in the future.
