Infrared imaging technology has played a very important role in more and more areas. With the development of embedded system, ARM is widely used because of its good performance. On the analysis of current traditional infrared imaging system, the image acquisition system which based on the S3C2440 processor and the TCP/IP network technology has been designed in this paper. And it is for the purpose of proposing and realizing one kind of general frame for camera acquisition, processing and transmission. The general frame finally can be applied in the infrared imaging area: The external connection infrared sensor completes an infrared network (local) the thermal imaging system.First, in this paper, the infrared imaging application areas are introduced, and then the problems of traditional infrared imaging system are summarized. After the disadvantages are analyzed, a new frame has been proposed. This new frame will make the application of the infrared imaging system much wider so as to make the function more powerful. Simultaneously it will have better extension and predictable planning. After the research purpose and feasibility is determined, the frame and detail design are expounded. And the complete solution based on S3C2440 and the TCP/IP network transmission is described. And it includes the Uboot, the Eboot, and the WinCE transplant work of S3C2440 development board, the programming of camera OV7620 driver facing to WinCE, the development of WinCE application with EVC environment, and the implement of the PC program for the receiving and displaying purpose. Finally there is the union debugging work between PC software and the embedded ARM system.
