| Nowadays, rapid development of the computer technology and digital signal processing (DSP technology) have enlarged the application fileds of the Video Compression Processing System, such as daily lives,military,industrial and medical and many other fields; and also brought a broader development space for the video compression technology.In this thesis, the principles and realization methods of MPEG-2 video compression algorithms have been systematically introduced. Firstly, damage and lossless compression of the video compression technology, time and space redundancy of image and the coding standards of video compression have been introduced; Secondly, the knowledge of DSP technology which is closely related to the development of the video compression technology has been descripted systemly; Thirdly, the basic concepts,the principles of coding and decoding and the basic achievement technologies of the MPEG-2 video compression algorithms has been studied in details; And then, the MPEG-2 video compression algorithms has been realized in software, the transplant programme of the compression algorithm and the key points of the optimization strategies have been designed and analysised in the DM642 platform, the correctness of the compression algorithm has been verified through the comparative analysis of the images before and after coding and the different images under different rate of coding. Finally, researches of the article are concluded, and some ideas of future study are put forward. |
