At present, virtual test has been widely applied. Virtual test can reduce the demand of hardware. It predigest the process of test. It get twice the result with half the effort. However, this digital generation prototype is based on the design size, the simulation results and the actual work sometimes vary greatly. But the virtual prototype which based on tolerance and processing generated is more closer to the real work and more significance to product design.Based on CAD/CAE technology and statistic-tolerance theory, the modeling and dynamic simulation of involute gear train and straight-sided verge Runaway Escapement were studied in this paper. The main contents are included as follows:(1) The typical components processing sizes of a verge runaway escapement was measured, application of principles of tolerance and Statistics, the size distribution of the processing would be automatic judgement by using procedures .(2) A size-database of verge runaway escapement was founded, round shape and root circle radius of tooth arc, middle gear, escapement gear and the center distance were inculded, Implementation of the processing size of the management, enquiries, call.(3) A method for Gear accurate modeling was raised In UG environment, the precise modeling and assembly was completed.(4) A standardized development platform of modeling was made with UG/OPEN, and a involute cylinder gear could be automatically generated. A solid model of tolerance was successfully established.(5) Base on UG/CAE, a simulation to the model in tolerance was made, the changes of gearing point line speed with different processing size was analyzed. A hypothetical: Judgement of a body was raised: thinking into the performance of agencies, the processing sizes of the parts of the agencies are not the more accurate the better, but should close to the center size of a distribution.Finally, the work of this dissertation was concluded. The innovations and contributions of this work were introduced. And also, the potential issues of this research were pointed out.
