System Design, Digital Video Receiver Based On Uwb Technology

UWB is a pulse communication technology rising from 1960s,which takes communication by very wide band and very short-lived pulse. So it is also called baseband communication or no-carrier-wave communication. UWB is applied into radar GPS and communication system. Feb,2002,FCC declares that UWB can be use in civil area. Later, august,2006, Japan release the band of UWB. Because it has the characteristic of high speed of transmitting, low power , low cost and low probability of intercept, UWB is becoming the preferred technology in WPAN.This paper expatiates the concept and characteristic of UWB and construct a product DVR based on high speed of transmitting. It can send receive and store video stream by UWB.This paper presents two choices of project and technical difficulty. The factor of affecting the speed of transmitting video stream and difference between WIFI and UWB are analyzed.
