| Multimedia technology is developing very quickly in recent years, video technology is a subset of Multimedia technology, so video is quick developing too. Because of the large amount of the data in a video sequence, both transmission and storage are not convenience, so it is becoming a hot topic to encode these large video data and make it to standardize.AVS is a signal encoding standard which is developed by the Audio Video Coding Standard Working Group of China, this standard aim at Chinese market, because this standard is advanced so it belongs the second international standard. Video part is the second part of this standard , This part is approved to the national standard on 30th April, 2006. AVS standard is the second video standard because its encoding efficiency is more than 2-3 times of MPEG -2standard, and have the same efficiency with AVC standard. Moreover the AVS technical plan is very succinct, and the chip is less complex. It also achieves the highest level of second generation. AVS has obvious superiority in terms of coding efficiency and channel adaptive capacity, compared to those existing video compression standards. So I think it is very necessary to study the key arithmetic of AVS.According to analyzing and researching the key technology of AVS detailedly in this paper ,we think the pivotal point of the AVS encoding technology are the three arithmetics-motion estimation,pattern choice and sub pixel insert.1. About motion estimation arithmetic. We analyzed the advantage and disadvantage of old arithmetic and then improved DS arithmetic which is a classical arithmetic,we reduced the complexity of encoding arithmetic via enlarging the search scope for large module and reducing the search scope for the small module but it do not affect the image quality.2. About pattern choice arithmetic. Aimed at the disadvantage of the old arthmetics and combined the structural characteristic of DM648.We gived a new pattern choice arithmetic in this paper, this arithmetic divide all modules into several continuous modules in one frame, and then compute them one by one circularly and continuously.3. About sub pixel insert arithmetic. We analyzed the insert theory, process and arithmetic design and optimize, and then according to analyzing the simulated result, we proved the advantage of the optimized sub pixel insert arithmetic finally. |
