Student Residences And Management Information Systems Development

Housing service management is a tough issue for facing a large number of student data. In order to avoid a large number of repetitive work, it is necessary to take the advantage of MIS to simplify the complicated mode of operation and management.Jinhua Vocational & Technical College has 13 secondary colleges and more than 20,000 residential students, located in the three major communities - XueshiYuan, LongchuanYuan and TaoliLou, with a total number of 16 buildings and about 2,500 bedrooms.At present, Microsoft office Excel has been adopted in the form of management. Obviously, it is difficult to get accurate and comprehensive understanding of the students living condition. The housing service management is far behind the management of the entire school.In order to improve the current situation, a housing service MIS, which based on VB+SQL2000+C/S model, has been required, aiming at changing the traditional management style, improving management efficiency, reducing labor intensity and standardizing the implementation of housing services. Based on the primary discussion and research, the system features include user management, accommodation management, equipment management, billing management, human resources management, and apartment building management.The main thesis in this paper include: First of all, to understand that content, features and trends of housing service in the field of college, and analyze the necessity and feasibility of housing service MIS. Secondly, design the framework, structure and development model of the system. Finally, with the assistant of student apartment management department, fulfill the coding and testing of the system.
