Comment On The Media Mcluhan Philosophy Of Technology

The development of electronic media technologies today,and there is a climax in people's life about the social role of media technology.With the focus of media technology of McLuhan and the study of his theory re-attention in the academic cause. His unique theory of the media such as the "mirror theory","medium is the message", "four laws of media" and so on are contiued to shock people.However,this also make him one of the most controversial figures.Because of its emphasis on media technology on human society and on the profound psychological impact,he has been described as "technological determinism".However,Marshall does not believe in that people before technology are powerless,so the idea that believes that he be regarded as "technological determinism" is unfair.At present,most academics are analysing McLuhan's thinking from the perspective of communications media technology,but in this paper analysis his theory from the point of the philosophy of science and technology.He examed the history of human civilization and social development from the perspective of Media technology,which is a lot of elements of Marxist historical materialism and the match.On this basis,this article highlight Michael'sWisdom from two aspects of the politics and economics and the role of social development.
