Experimental teaching management in higher polytechnics is one of the most important parts in the higher vocational education management, and is the core and basis for the polytechnics management. With a wide range of data and reports, manual handling has been difficult to keep up with the pace of modern management development. With the rapid development of computer technology and the rapid popularization of Internet, it is very imperative to make the experimental teaching management scientific, standardized, and informationized through network.With the accordance to the requirements on the experimental teaching management, the Unified Modeling Language is used to model and design the entire system and set up the modeling. The system adopts JSP (Java Server Pages) web programming technology, with the MS SQL Server as database. The standard three-tier MVC framework (Servlet + JSP + JavaBean) is used to design, with Servlet as the major logic control, which can receive the user's request sent through JSP, start and initialize JavaBean, and then send the request to the JSP terminal. During the process, JavaBean coordinates with Servlet and JSP to complete the user's request, while JSP receives the request from and send it back to the terminal.The entire system, which is easy to operate, user-friendly, flexible, practical, and safe, achieves such basic functions as the administrator maintaining students'information, teachers'information, classes'information, experimental curriculum information, and students'choosing experimental courses, teachers'selecting students for experiment, teachers'publishing experimental scores, students'viewing the scores, etc. It also realizes the function that the experimental programs and reports can be uploaded and downloaded. But as an experimental teaching management system for the whole school, its functions still need improving a lot, such as addition of experimental teaching plans, schedule arrangement, the assessment of the experimental teaching effect, and so on.
