| Fuze range test is an essential part of fuze test techniques. The development of fuze technologies over the past years has increased requirements for the related test and measurement techniques. Among the requirements an important one is to measure the functional height, or self-destruction height of burst for small caliber fuze. Numerous kinds of such measurement methods exist, however most methods cost a lot for burst point height accurate measurement. Therefore most methods are not suitable for conventional weapon test and measurement. This paper introduces a burst point height measurement method based on dual CCD intersection measuring. First the mathematical model for the dual CCD intersection measuring is provided and analyzed, followed by the system modules design. Digital image processing techniques are used to process acquired images in order to get coordinates of the explode point. The height of burst point is solved then by following the previously provided mathematical model. Error analysis is also performed after that. The proposed method in this paper has advantages such as less complexity in system architecture, high accuracy and precision for target positioning, and easiness to operate and use. This also brings significant interest in the field of target space measurement for high speed falling objects and is promising to be applied to related fields. |
