| As an important type of elevating machinery, Overheand traveling is widely applied in all fields of country economy construction. Since the competition in marketing is more severe, the performance requirements of crane get higher. The quantity and speed of design plays a key role in the process of crane manufacturing. Hence, the trend of crane design is going towards to three-dimensional and parametric design .The application of the technology guarantee the high efficiency of mechanical design.Professional CAD software based on SolidWorks API and Access, which is helpful for the selecting and three-dimensional modeling of parts and components for overheand traveling is developed in Visual C++ in this project. Taken good usage of this professional software, designers can complete the selections of proper parts and components and constructions of three-dimensional modeling rapidly. The following parts are researched in the thesis:(1)Application module of running gear is divided on principle of module design and then transmission plan of running gear is analyzed .In accordance with the application module, development plan and tool of CAD system are ascertained.(2)Key technologies, such as Object-oriented Programming, SolidWorks secondary development and ADO database are successfully applied to the CAD system. Hence parts and components of running gear can be selected rapidly and suitably.(3)On the principle of three-dimensional model library design, using down-up design method, the construction of parametric series parts library, components library and assembly library are completed by adding configurations in SolidWorks. Some parameter database is built in Access for the calculation of selecting module.( 4 ) Taking designing and selecting module and three-dimensional parametric model of trolley running gear for example, the application of this CAD software is elaborated .Interferences and conflictions between components in assembly are avoided by using layout sketch in SolidWorks. |
