Coal chemical production as one of the high-risk industries, safety is always a top priority for font days. Coal industry, environmental risks because of the work, producing a large quantity of local storage of combustible gas or liquid of a bad environment, so prone to accidents, use of industrial television system operating on coal chemical production site video surveillance of coal chemical industry will be an important safety management link. However, in the current, most of the coal chemical industry enterprises to use video surveillance system are basically the early analog (CCTV) or Digital Video (DVR) Surveillance, there is un-stability, circuit complexity, the limited transmission distance, less susceptible to interference and other defects. In particular, State departments of coal, coal chemical industry and other enterprises Production Safety Supervision and management of industrial television system interconnection requirements, the traditional orkload of duplicate wiring, reducing the system's construction costs; the same timindustrial TV system is even more difficult to meet the application requirements.Distributed digital network video monitoring system using IP datagram encapsulation format, allowing monitoring of images can be transmitted in IP networks, including wired LAN, wireless LAN, WAN or even the Internet and 3G mobile networks. Application of this model for video network with a large-scale data networks, reducing the we, due to the popularity of IP networks, making surveillance video images can be in any network places that are able to have timely access.In this thesis, features of video digital, video signals, network start with a detailed analysis of video surveillance systems to the network system is involved in transmission technology, digital technology, compressed codec technology and software model of distributed systems, and on this basis, according to the actual environment and actual cases, it explains a distributed digital network video monitoring system, the actual composition and specific functions of various components.
