With the rapid promotion of the speed of economic development of China, the process of urbanization is also speeded up. The problems of threatening urbanization, such as population explosion, resource starvation, congested space, appear gradually. Scholars begin to concentrate on the subjects of coordinating development of urban scale, of promoting people’s living standard, of promoting urban sustainable development stably. With the continuously extension of urban scale and the density of urban population, developing the underground shopping mall model has unlimited potential.Developing the underground space, especially the underground shopping mall model, has gradually become the inevitable developing trend of urban business center. The developments and utilizations of underground space of Beijing and Shanghai have become the experience. This paper uses the method of combination of theory analysis and the reality of R company, analysis the development experience of domestic and overseas underground shopping malls, summarizes the experiences of successful shopping malls, in order to promote the sustainable development of R company.
