With the diversity of economic development and complexity of organizational structure,building up enterprises’ overall strength and enhancing their industrial competency has been a priority for the management team. Performance evaluation is a key indicator assessing an enterprise’s overall competency, an important means of an enterprise’s self-monitoring and an important component of an enterprise’s managerial systems. While undergoing performance evaluation, more managerial personnel narrow down their horizon on the impacts of those concerned beneficiary parties, exclusive of its shareholders, on the operation of the enterprise.Performance evaluation adopted by an enterprise usually collect its key data only from its shareholders, financial indexes and short-term benefits while staff members, clients and other related interest groups, non-financial indexes and long-term strategy are not considered, so the assessment by performance evaluation is not conclusive. Performance prism is a new derivative of balanced score card and a more thorough means of analysis of an enterprise’s performance.Performance prism, from the positions of the interests of shareholders, staff members, clients and multiple beneficiary groups, analyses an enterprise’s performance. In the real-case scenario,it correlates financial and non-financial indexes optimizing the previous subjective judgmental vulnerabilities. This paper applies performance prism on a chemical company, S Group and undergoes a research on the impact of the end-of-year assets restructuring in 2014 on its performance. At the beginning, a framework of performance evaluation indexes on S Group is constructed and its shareholders, staff members, clients and local government constitute a four-party interest group as the research subject. Then based on a year before and after its restructuring, with data from financial papers and feedback from research samples, the author analyses all factors concerning the consequences of restructuring. At last, after a further analysis of the research findings, the author proposes issues of concern on an enterprise’s internal information system option, related regulation construction and accounting information disclosure to ensure a positive application effect by performance prism on chemical enterprise’s assets restructuring.
