Research On The Impact Of IT Investment On The Performance Of China 's Listed And Retail Listed Companies

The relationship between IT investment and firm performance has always been the focus of attention and research. From the existing research, the research about the relationship between IT investment and firm performance has not come to a consistent conclusion.The retail trade industry in china, at the end of the last century, began to introduce Information technology, and use IT to improve the process of control and management of enterprises. The literatures have found that IT investment has different effect to for enterprise value.The research on the relationship between IT and enterprise performance is not lacking, but the research results have been mixed. We believe that there is a difference between the influence of information technology and enterprise performance in different industries.The rise of electronic business platform caused a huge impact for the traditional retail model of the store. Suning and other traditional retail enterprises also regard the information technology as a new strategic direction of the enterprise. In such a realistic business background, it is yery important that traditional retail enterprises combined with information technology investment and enterprise performance. How will IT spending impact on enterprise performance and enterprise value in the retail trade enterprise? It attracted our attention.According to the previous study, this paper is to study the relationship between corporate governance structure, IT investment and firm performance. We use the data of retail trade industry from China to validate our hypothesis.In this paper, we use of Statal3.0 software as the analytical tool. The empirical research on the impact of information technology on the performance of retail industry in China was on the data of financial statements from 2010 to 2014, in order to achieve the purpose of information technology investment in the retail industry.On the basis of previous studies, this paper studies the relationship between IT investment and enterprise value in retail trade enterprises from China. First of all,this paper discusses the motivation theory of IT investment and its different effects, then analyzes the IT investment, the enterprise value of the indicators, to prepare for the following empirical study. Again, we analysis the status of retail trade industry, we put forward the research hypothesis and build an analytical model, and select the sample. At last, according to the empirical results for the enterprise put forward corresponding advices and countermeasures and the future research direction.
