A Study On The Influence Of China’s Retail Industry Listed Companies Financial Structure To Business Performance

Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has a rapid development, and people’s living standards have greatly improved. Therefore, China’s retail industry has been rapid development, and plays a more and more important role in the economy. In this case, it has great theoretical significance and practical value to research relationship between capital structure and corporate performance of China’s retail industry listing Corporation, and it helps to standardize corporate financing behavior and the optimization of corporate governance structure.This paper choose71retail listing corporation in China’s Shanghai and Shenzhen stock market as research samples, and conduct multiple linear regression with the sample firms’2008-2012cross section data to research the relationship between financing structure and corporate governance performance. The empirical results show that: the proportion of the first shareholder, the proportion of top ten shareholders, the proportion of state-owned shares and the proportion of legal person shares have the positive correlation with the corporate performance; there is a significant negative correlation between the rate of assets and liabilities and corporate governance performance; the ratio of long-term debt, the ratio of debt financing and the proportion of bank loans have negative correlation with the corporate performance; there is a significant positive correlation between proportion of commercial credit and corporate performance. And based on the theory and the results of empirical research, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to optimize financial structure for China’s retail industry listing corporation.
